Wax candies originated sometime in the early 1900s, created by the American Candy Company. Along with the classic lips and mustaches, fangs are a fun toy candy children can hold between their lips like an actual facial feature… at least until that delicious fruity scent perched beneath their noses became too much to bear. Then it was time to get munching! As the slogan ran, “Wear now, chew later.”
